  He farmed at Reineveld, in the Zastron District. Sold out in about 1967 a nd moved to Champagne where he lived to a ripe old age. He was still drivi ng a car at the age of 88. He was at a Moths meeting in town the day befo re he had a stroke. He died approximately 2 weeks later.
