  1. Born on the farm Wilgerivier and farmed on a portion which was named Gl encoe although title was still held by his father. In terms of his fathe rs will he became the owner of Glencoe on 09 07 1954 but at that sta ge he was already living in retirement at 44 Louis Trichardt St, Somers et East. 2. The farm was sold by auction on 29 04 1961 and was sold to four purchas ers who had the land subdivided, so ending 120 years of occupation by t he family. 3. Buried in Somerset East cemetery 4.
