  1. Appears to have lived in the Free State for four years during the Anglo -Boer War. 2. Very little is known about this man and his estate makes no menti on of children although two names have been found elsewhere. The Death Not ice is signed by a nursing sister and must be incorrect. 3. In 1898 he was co-respondent in the divorce of Mr and Mrs Muller of Sut herland on grounds of adultry 4. He seems to have ended his days in poverty as, at the time of his deat h, he was employed as a gardener at the home of Mrs A Benson of 57 Stra nd Street, Woodstock. 5.
